“Pay the price”

coloured pencils, alcohol inks, opalux, paper collagecheaper foods are often unhealthy and ultra-processed, which often means healthy, fresh produce isn’t as accessible to low-income individuals and families.This project was a commentary about the increasing cost of healthier foods, and the concern of food insecurity in canada.

my biggest work to-date, this project was a learning experience, and a frustrating one at that. I hit pen to canvas without a concept, and I quickly understood why having even some semblance of a plan is important for a piece.the title should give you all you need to know about how I felt
